O Chateau – A Vayable Insider Interview

By Anne 2 Comments

Vayable Insider Interview with Olivier from O Chateau

We’ve been talking a lot about Vayable lately, and today we’ve got an interview for you!  If you haven’t heard of it yet, Vayable is a web platform that lets people offer experiences in their cities, similar to acting as a tour guide.  Hosts are known as Insiders and we’re going to get the scoop from one of them now!

I first met Olivier when he reached out to me to review one of his books, called Into Wine. It was a fun read and you can read my review of it here.  When I was poking around on Vayable the other day, I recognized his company name and thought I would reach out to him.  He responded with answers within half an hour!  So, without further adieu,

Vayable Insider Interview with Olivier from O Chateau:

Hi! How are you?

I’m doing fantastic!

How did you first hear of Vayable?

Well, they contacted me when they first launched. They had heard about O Chateau and the great wine tastings we offer in Paris and they wanted to list them on Vayable. A few days later, they even had their Paris launch party at O Chateau. Lots of wine and fun was had by all!

Tell us about the experiences that you offer on Vayable:

We offer a Wine & Cheese Lunch in Paris, a Day Trip to the Champagne Region, and a Wine Tasting Class of 6 different French wines! Basically, things that will make any wine lover VERY happy!

What sort of people seem to be using Vayable so far, to find your experiences? Are they a different crowd than your clients from other sources?

Vayable clients are looking for authenticity. They want to live real experiences, not feel like just another tourist. They are also people that do their homework in order to get what they want!

Is the interface of Vayable easy to use?

Very.

If you had one tip for someone looking to start working through Vayable, what would it be?

Contact them!

Olivier, you like to use very creative descriptions for wines. How would you describe Vayable?

A fast growing company helping change the way people travel and experience the world!

Can you share with us which experience (other than your own!) you would most like to try out? It can even be right in Paris!

I’d love for someone to teach me how to dance properly and i’m sure there’s a lot of people on Vayable that could help. Now they would have to be really good teachers to get anything good out of me!

Thanks, Olivier!

The folks at Vayable are lovely indeed!  If you sign up today with this link, they will give you a $10 credit, automatically applied whenever you decide to take a trip in the future.  They’ll also give me the same credit, which may be why I like them so much.  I appreciate it ever so much when you take the time to support Money Propeller and me by using the affiliate links on this site.

Hmm interesting. I wonder if this is a market that CouchSurfers could expand into. Tour guides on the cheap!

The Bottom

You made it all the way to the bottom! Thanks so much for reading.
Did you know that The Bottom is the name of a town on the island of Saba, in the Caribbean? I went there on a trip once.
The other bottoms I think about are my own bottom, and the bottom of the champagne bottle. Often when I find the bottom of the champagne bottle, my own bottom grows. Funny, that.

Thanks for reading!
