Week Wrap Up & #Giveaway

Friday JetFuel Blog Link Up and Week Recap - Join us!

Oh hey look, it’s Sunday already!

For those of you who were wondering what the giant red box was, in the Day in the Life of Anne post, it was… drumroll… a deep fryer.

I know.  I am 100% sure I will come to regret this decision.  There’s no question.

It’s this one (affiliate links):

T-fal FR8000 Ultimate EZ Clean

It almost completely comes apart and everything but the brain part can go in the dishwasher, which is amazing. We had a “deep fry all-the-things” party, which was delicious and fun.

Don’t worry, there were healthier gifts in that pile, too.

Jessica’s Podcast

Deep fryer is my favorite kitchen tool I always use and love. Aside from it’s easy to use, it makes deep frying safer and enjoyable. That whenever I have to fry, I use a deep fryer.

When my husband and I got married, a deep fryer was basically the only kitchen gadget he knew how to use, and one of the only ones I had never used before! Haha I have certainly come to love making home made fried shrimp poboys!

A deep fryer would be the end of me. I would be deep frying everything and would not be suprised if I gained 10 lbs a month until I forced myself to get rid of the pure evil device 🙂

But seriously, what kinds of things did you deep fry during your little party?

I want to live vicariously through you.

wings, pickles, crab & goat cheese won tons, oreos, snickers, mars bars, twinkies, mini pepperoni, bananas, sweet potato fries, risotto balls, sushi
      I’m probably forgetting something, too.

We had onion rings and totally forgot to do them.

I would love to hate having a deep fryer. We crave homemade potato chips, sweet potato fries and homemade chicken strips. We would both balloon up if we had one though. 😉

Oh ya. This thing is going to be stored on a remote shelf in the storage locker, for a reason!

The Bottom

You made it all the way to the bottom! Thanks so much for reading.
Did you know that The Bottom is the name of a town on the island of Saba, in the Caribbean? I went there on a trip once.
The other bottoms I think about are my own bottom, and the bottom of the champagne bottle. Often when I find the bottom of the champagne bottle, my own bottom grows. Funny, that.

Thanks for reading!
