Welcome to the Friday Jet Fuel post on Money Propeller! Things are always happening in internet land and this is your chance to discover even more. To ensure that you’re coming along for the ride with Money Propeller, sign up for our monthly newsletter, that features a recap of our highlights for the month,
A Random Fact about Aviation
Last week we talked about a friend who worked on bio fuels. Anne has another friend who did his master’s thesis on the striations in turbine blades. How far apart the little cooling holes through the blades are affects all sorts of things in the turbines.
What We Talked About This Week
We’re having an awesome giveaway! A grand prize of $200 and a second prize of $50, open worldwide!

A Pretty Thing on Amazon
What good is money if we can’t do anything with it? Here’s something pretty that you could buy with your money.
Elegant Ebony Wood Watch Display Case Box with Lock and Key for 12 Watches
Now I know that not all of us have a million watches, but some people do. If you are like me, they get stuck in a drawer in your bathroom or bedroom. This seems like a much better way to keep track of them, no? Especially if you have nice ones.
Money Thought of the Week
I like the convenience and treat of Tim Hortons drive-through coffee once a week. That costs me about $104 a year. My latte factor is NOT coffee, yours probably isn’t either. I find that to be $104 well spent.
Your Turn: Linky Party!
What is a Linky Party? It’s a tool that lets you link up your posts, and check out other people’s posts. Friday Jetfuel features a linky party that is open (accepting links) for one week, Friday to Friday, each week. Make sure to come back and link up each week!
Next week, we will feature one or two posts from this week’s linky. Ones that were wildly popular, ones that I found particularly interesting, or ones that came up with the roll of the dice! Maybe you can even bribe me to be featured, no one’s tried it, yet!
What flies for this linky?
You can link up anything that relates to money: earning more, observations about behaviour, saving money, spending money, developing your career, investments, frugal (or not so frugal) meals, giveaways, etc. Make sure your image is PG13 and safe for work.
Please do not link to carnivals or link round up posts. It doesn’t matter how old the post is that you choose to link up. Use your best judgement, and I will use mine. I reserve the right to remove links for any reason.
If you do link up, please link back to us, so that more people can find the linky and discover all of the great information that is out there.
How to Link Up
Click on the “Click here to enter” below. It will ask you for a URL that goes directly to the post (http://moneypropeller.com/love-mini-fridge/ NOT http://moneypropeller.com), the title you want to use, an email address, and a photo. It gives you the option to select one of the pictures that is already on the post (and then crop it to 160×160), upload an image, or use a placeholder image. That’s it! All you really need to do is copy and paste your URL in, and type a few things.
Once you’ve entered, please visit a few of the other links and comment on some posts!

I used to be a watch collector. I still have quite a number but many have batteries that need to be replaced. My husband finally said stop. It was too much to keep replacing the batteries! Now I just wear 1 of 2 different watches because I prefer to have less these days. I really should donate or sell my other watches.

Fascinating! I have a few, but I am really good at destroying them, soI rarely wear the nicer ones, as I am afraid I will break them. That leads to the same dead battery problem that you have!

I have four “nice” (ish) watches, and I’d love to have a case for them. That being said, it seems a little silly. They’re just tucked in the top drawer of my bureau with my other jewellery that doesn’t fit in my nice jewellery box.

Nicely done… mine end up all over my nightstand and abandoned in the living room and such.
